I admire that it was mandated for teachers to obtain proper training for ELL due to the increase in linguistic diversity throughout the states. I think proper assistance should also be given to all classrooms per grade level. Teachers already have a lot to be concerned about in the classroom. When proper assistance is needed to be sure students are making the necessary gains, it should not be heavily based on the teacher work alone. Positive interactions can be made, but what about the entire class. Students are often overlooked due to the primary focus in the classroom placed on the needs of ESOL and ESE students. Some slip through the cracks. I believe classroom successes are best when there are two teachers in the classroom. Students would receive dual language learning and most susceptible to be open to learning. Research shows that dual language learning is not just beneficial to ELL students but also for all learners.
