Module 7: Strategy Reflection

Activating prior knowledge is a strategy that I use often. Being a Social Studies teacher it is beneficial that I use this strategy for students to add new concepts to old knowledge from previous standards. This is particularly relevant because I work in a school with over 60% of student reading below grade level and sometimes we have to activate prior knowledge to increase comprehension.
