Module 12 Discussion: SIOP

SIOP is a framework for teachers where's the goal is to help teachers integrate academic language into all aspects of the lesson. Important elements of this framework AR all content objectives are clearly defined, so students can review them on their own at their own pace, additionally language objectives also need to be clearly defined separately from the content objective, so students can see their learning both language and content. Finally, the concepts and language objectives need to fit the grade and ability level of the students.
