Module 15 Discussion: Engaging Families

I think regular communication is important. Just reaching out to your students families to let them know you are always happy to talk with them is an important form of communication. Also, you can ask your students' parents for ideas for how to best support their language instruction.

As far as homework goes, if there are translators available who can help with translating homework, this may be helpful for the students family if the students can bring home copies of their homework assignment in both English and their native language.
