After researching I combined a list of strategies for high quality language instruction. 1. Have students create scripts for academic routines. 2. Encourage students to read diverse text. 3. Teach key words. 4. Display academic vocabulary at students eye level 5. Allow a time and area for access to technology and tools. 6. Allow students to collaborate with peers. 7. Model a variety of strategies 8. Give constructive feedback in a timely manner 9. Allow students to participate in self and peer assessments 10. Allow students to set their goals.
