Module 1: Goals for This Course and Thoughts About Article

My goals include: 

• Understanding the development of language for my students that are still a bit lower on the WIDA scale. 
• Learn how to better differentiate lessons for students on different WIDA levels.

Teaching Tolerance 

I found it important that the article discussed the idea of teachers viewing themselves as "white saviors" and using students as inspiration when talking to people of their careers. This is something I have witnessed all too often and is a very important discussion to have. Proving yourself as a teacher has nothing to do with the demographics that you teach.
