Module 8 Video Response

In the video about Austin's butterfly, the teacher encourages students to "look like a scientist" in order to improve a drawing of a butterfly through successive drafts. The students observed and made precise suggestions. They learned that it is valuable to reflect, critique, take suggestions in order to improve work through several drafts before accepting a final product. This could be a useful exercise or a template to show students how to work hard, persevere, and make a thorough effort when close reading and writing.
