Theories of Language Learning
The Brain-Based Theory of language learning makes the most sense. It incorporates parts of the other theories, such as the Language Acquisition Device and Zone of Proximal Development. The Brain-Based Theory expands on those to consider a whole-child approach that is sensitive to a student's emotional needs, cultural background, and academic readiness. This theory takes a more comprehensive account of the stages of language acquisition while making language learning achievable within several academic disciplines/classes.
