My top 10 for what high quality language instruction is includes scaffolding for comprehension, modeling, reading aloud, partner reading, using cooperative grouping strategies, building background knowledge, graphic organizers, word walls, class discussions both socially and academically and  activities like the fishbowl.

I selected these because I am familiar with them and I truly believe that they are effective.
