Module 14 Discussion: What Has Changed?

High quality language instruction has changed since book that is dated 1995 because instead of the teacher centered memorization instruction that was considered quality in the past teachers have become very student centered.  Teachers are differentiating the instruction to meet the needs of the diverse learner and using assessments to adapt the instruction that will meet the needs of the students.  Teachers are also teaching more explicitly with a systematic approach that allows the students to have plenty of practice in the classroom with the teacher being able to give immediate feedback.
