I would provide many visuals and activities(movement, music, art, etc.) which all students could use. Word walls give the ELL student constant exposure to old and new vocabulary words. Reviewing vocabulary words and their meanings before reading the text will help the student to understand what he/she is reading. Other students will write vocabulary words in sentences. Other students can read to themselves while I read to the ELL student and frontload the text.
