My grouping approach for this scenario would be flexible grouping, due to the comfortability of the students, reorganizing the groups would be best. I would incorporate the reorganization every so often so students will become exposed to new perspectives. I would embrace the Vygotsky's Social Constructivism, the Zone of Proximal Develop. The approach that students work well with others that can support and challenge their thinking, they can scaffold other's learning and develop a higher thinking of learning.
