Mod 10 Video Discussion

The phonetics of word pronunciation is important for all students but especially for ELL students. As far as working through selecting the correct pronunciation I am going to ask students to think about whether they recognize the word as I am saying it. Have they ever heard this word? Making them think though words they've encountered. I would also define a word that might not be considered obvious and let them know that I would define any word they did not know the meaning of. We could also spend more time on making each sound, doing that together as a class.
