If this was my student, I would want to start building this vocabulary to a point that he can integrate better socially. Giving this student the tools and resources that would make him feel more comfortable to share within working with other peers and possibly full group would be a game changer. Not only would the student feel more confident and have the ability to communicate effectively in academics, but then in other situations with peers too. This could include during resource classes like art, on the playground, or even at lunch.  Getting the student's vocabulary skills where they can better integrate socially also gives opportunities for the student to branch out to other peers that they may have never talked to without having this confidence.
