Mod 2 Discussion: What the Research Means to Me
Model 2: What the Research Means to Me
The research in the inclusion of ELL students is so important. Ensuring that we are constantly trying to be better and do better for our ELLs is imperative to the future of our students.
- Ensuring that ELLs are able to enroll in other classes as well as their "bilingual immersion" classes means that ELLs are given the same equal opportunities as their peers. It provides with them with a chance to interact and get involved in more cultural and language possibilities of growth.
- Making sure that teachers are proper prepared and equipped with many resources means that our ELLs are going to be properly taken care of and given access to the best education that they could receive.
- Having English language embedded ed in content area classes helps to close the vocabulary gaps and reduces the chances of there being misconceptions in their learning.
- Having district support on working towards the interaction of ELLs and native English speaking students means that there will be measures taken to ensure that the rules and research are upheld in all schools and for all students.
