Self-Assessment

I have found particular value in the material on the process for developing assessments and embedding assessments into the planning stages for each unit. While much of this I have done intuitively and organically, the material here will allow me to be even more strategic in applying my lessons to student growth. In addition, all of the approaches explored will work for all students, not only my ELL students. As a result of this training, I will be making ongoing tweaks to each unit lesson to balance the kinds of assessments used to ensure student growth WITH the goal of also increasing student engagement. The material so far as given me insight into how to achieve a beter balance between these two.
