Mod 8 Discussion: Tiering and Scaffolding in My Classroom
Module 8 Discussion
Much like on of the other contributors, I really like I Do, We Do, You Do. This gives the students the opportunity to learn directly from me and then from each other. During the I Do portion, I am teaching that standard for the first time. Some students get it right then and others need more interaction with the material and a groupmate can often explain something better than I can to a particular student. Sometimes it takes explaining the concept in a way that allows them to relate what I'm teaching to a scenario they can understand. Then finally the apply their knowledge during the You Do part.
