A formative assessment that has shown success in my classroom are exit tickets combined with "think-pair-share." After finishing a lesson students individually complete exit tickets to help me understand how much they know. I ask students to then pair up with each other and go over what questions were answered incorrectly. We then share with the class and this allows students to learn from each other and reteach concepts.

In the future I would like to implement more concept maps in my classroom. I think these would be effective combined with sketches/images that students can use to fill in the map, especially when reviewing story elements: character, problem, setting, solution.
