The research on ELL outcomes helps me to understand that there are many components that go into the success of how an ELL student will learn. First, it is important to allow students to learn content in their native language in order to create an immersive experience that allows for better language acquisition. More first language content instruction should be available in different subjects so students don't fall behind. Teachers need to be properly trained so they know how to best modify language appropriate content and methods in the classroom. The ELL curriculum should not stand alone, but be embedded within the existing curriculum. The research shows that students learn best when they are engaging, learning, and socializing with native speakers. We need to consider the research when creating our classroom environment and curriculum in order to prioritize student achievement,
