Mod 7 Discussion: Data Action
Module 7 Discussion: data action
One recommendation from the "Data Action Plans" that stands out as particularly important for my action research process is: “Develop an action plan to address the learning gaps, including a plan for on-going assessments and progress monitoring.” This recommendation is critical because identifying learning gaps is only the beginning; the real impact comes from how we respond to those gaps. Creating a clear, targeted action plan ensures that interventions are not only implemented but also aligned with student needs. Progress monitoring is equally essential—it allows for data-driven adjustments throughout the instructional cycle to ensure students are growing. In my own action research process, I want to ensure I’m not just reacting to data but proactively designing instructional strategies tailored to student groups (above, meets, below standard) as shown in the worksheet. By frequently assessing and regrouping students as needed, I can better meet them where they are and help move them forward efficiently and effectively.
