Mod 13 Discussion: SIOP discussion

I believe comprehension can be obtained at the primary level when practice and application is available to students at all levels, including culturally diverse populations. Teachers should supply students with adequate hands-on manipulatives, and materials. The SIOP guide encourages using activities to promote student engagement by discussing abstract concepts with individual and group collaborations. All lessons taught build on language learning skills. This can be found on the first page of the SIOP guide, number 6.
