Have a copy of the Lesson plan and know the guidelines and benchmarks being used in the activity the students are working on. 

Teacher gives clear instruction of the activity and makes sure that all students understand.

Teacher guidelines for the activity are on the board for all to see and refer back to it.

Classroom environment is under control and students are assigned and have the materials to start.

Student are actively engaged.

Teacher actively walks around responding to students questions and making sure students stay on task. 

Techer is aware of ELL students in the classroom and is actively checking for understanding on the activity.
