I would search for reading material based on their interest and educational level. I also would pair them with peers who can serve as mentors throughout the reading assignments. Since the library is full of books, would be assertive to ask the students to pick which book they want to read and elaborate on mini reading lessons where they have to read and discuss in small groups.
