Mod 19 Discussion: Taking the Lead on Literacy

Cognates can be very useful when they are encountered while teaching vocabulary. In my opinion, it is important to recognize that access to the internet afford us a plethora of strategies to enhance literacy. Although the examples can be inspiring, as educators we must not expect an example or strategy to automatically be effective because it worked for another teacher. Each student, teacher, culture/language is unique, and there is no "one size fits all"!
