Module 7- Identify Learning Gaps
As a intensive reading teacher it is imperative to identify learning gaps for each individual although each student may require intensive instruction. This can be extremely challenging due to classroom size and based on the skill level of the instructor. The key is using the correct assessment tools to assist you identifying the area of instruction that a student may require assistance in when it comes to the levels of reading. Then you can identify if the student needs help with fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, connecting reading to writing, or decoding.
