Mod 5 Video Discussion

Novel studies are a great way to incorporate criterion-based assessments. "City of Ember" is one of my favorite novels that affords me the opportunity to be creative and interact outside of our stringent district mandated lesson plans. Individual students choose a task card which is an excerpt or scene from the book. They are to dramatize, explain, and give their opinion of that scene or excerpt. I assess them based on a rubric created to score the task.
