Describe what the research on ELL Outcomes mean to you. Here are the implications of the ELL research outcomes:

1) this means to me, that they should be offered electives and opportunities to take courses or activities in other areas of academics and interest

2) teachers should have the proper tools and instruction to teach ELL the skills they need.

3) All content area classes have the opportunity for ELL students to practice using language skills in an everyday setting.

4) Districts tend to create charts and graphs warning teachers about how long a student has been in the country or in ELL but the key should be testing the student to ensure that they have the necessary skills and teaching those skills in ways that the student will grasps over time and a series of lessons, instead of tracking their timeframe since people don't always learn at the same pace.  Also, everyone's prior knowledge will differ on a case by case basis which also nullifies timeframe in ELL as a causal factor in learning.
