Mod 1 Video Discussion

I feel that this is a very novel approach. In regard to my work as a reading teacher, I recently paired with a self-contained ESE classroom to have some of my struggling students read to theirs.  The students were able to choose a book to read to a student that they were paired with based on skill set. It was very empowering for my students, who perceived themselves, as struggling readers to have the opportunity to help others.  Each set of students enjoyed this activity so much that they would often work request opportunities to work together more frequently.  It was nice to have students actually asking to read for once.
