That is a very interesting take on dual language teaching. I love how they are short immersive bursts that make it of high interest and engagement for the stduents. They all were excited to participate. I had worked at school that had a dual language program that also expanded a grade level each year, at that school it was immersion style where group a would have instruction across the board in English for a week and then they would switch teachers and have all subjects taught in Spanish the next week. The students were equally exposed and essentially "raised" in that school with two languages, two cultures, and two loving classrooms. 

This type of teaching is so useful to encourage relationships across languages and also to encourage ESOL students as they see everyone trying a new language. Most of the top schools in the world have extensive language classes and I'm glad to see that we are starting to catch up.
