Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

I love using KWL because it lets me know not only where my students stand, but also their interest level in different lesson plans as well as their trepidation levels when it comes to different subjects that we go over. 

i think epert/novice would be a great formative assessment to use for ELL students.  It would also be beneficial in other subject areas and for non-ELL students as well.
