Mod 7 Discussion: Data Action

A suggestion that I regularly use for my action research process is regular and frequent evaluation of student learning by using teacher created formative assessments.  One of these steps is identifying the learning gaps of the students, and that is performed by continuously assessing the progress of the students.  It is my preference to create the assessments myself, so that I can modify the questions with the cultural background of my students in mind.  This helps to minimize incorrect answers because of topics being used with which they are not familiar.
