Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

One formative assessment I have used and continue to use is daily exit tickets. These are done at the end of each of my lessons. These are successful because they help me to see which students understood that lesson for the day. Those that fail the exit ticket can get extra assistance to ensure they understand the learning target of the lesson. A formative assessment approach that could be helpful are gallery walks. I can use this before and after the lesson to see what knowledge they had before and what knowledge they gained after.
