Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

The formative assessment I used with success in the past is the journal entry. Students are able to share information that only the teacher will has access to. Teachers respond to student entries and students expect a response from teachers.

In the future, I would  like to try the 1 minute essay. I can image this essay will be packed with information. It could also help me see if students are getting the concept that is being taught.
