I'd focus on building the student's vocabulary to help them integrate better socially. By expanding their word bank, they'll feel more confident participating in conversations and activities with their peers, which in turn will naturally enhance their social skills and interaction. To do this, or at least start the process, I'd set up group activities to get students working together and chatting, helping them pick up new words in a social setting. Then, I'd make sure to teach vocab directly while making sure the classroom is a comfortable, safe space for the students to learn in.
