Repeated reading builds fluency. I say this all the time in my classroom when my students say "we already read this." First, I would model for the students how to read the text. Next, I would have the students echo read with me. Last, I would have the students choral read. Choral reading is a great way to read for students that might be afraid of making mistakes. I would also have students partner read and strategically pair students based on abilities. I would also have small group time to read with the students that are struggling the most.
