Module 14 Scenario
I would definitely use a lot of modeled fluency with this group as well as repeated reading. I think hearing me read certain passages and books with specific inflections and enthusiasm can not only help my students better understand what we're reading, but can help them see how the text should be read for best understanding. That goes hand in hand with the repeated reading, since hearing the text multiple times and then continuing to read it while practicing the proper speed and inflections needed can really help students practice that skill and then apply it to later independent reading.
