STEM Programs, Higher learning in the field, and careers in the Sciences/Engineering relies on problem solving and collaboration. Groups of people with diverse experiences and areas of expertise tend to be more creative and innovative.  It is important to value and consider viewpoints and perspective of all key players and accept culture into the global workforce.   Scientists are influenced by their own beliefs and cultural backgrounds, which can impact the types of research questions they ask and the methods they use to answer those questions which then drives science forward.

This resource had a lot of great information for the reader.  I like the overviews of the panel, reading the data, showcase of implications and future needs, as well as feedback/questions to the panels.  There is information on other careers and how culture is impacted in these areas.  Comprehensive breakdown to give concrete examples of how multiculturalism/culture and knowledge of culture  need to be critically examined in the STEM fields.
